What VibeAudio collects when you use it, and why. No account is needed, and we don't ask for your name or email to chat.

What we collect

• A browser identifier. A cookie called uid, kept for up to a year, so a block applies to the same browser when it comes back. It is not used for advertising profiles.
• Your IP address. Used to enforce blocks, limit abuse, and keep the service stable.
• Chat sessions. When a chat starts and ends and which type it was. Not what was said.
• Reports. The reason and details you write, plus the IP address and identifier of both people. A video report also stores a still image of the reported person's video.
• Group room messages. Messages posted in rooms are shown to everyone in the room and may be saved so people joining later can read recent conversation.
• A name, if you choose one. Shown to the people you chat with.

What we don't keep

One-to-one text messages are passed between you and the other person and not saved by us. Voice and video travel directly between the two browsers where the network allows, or through a relay server when it doesn't, and are not recorded.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except when the law requires it or to protect someone from harm. VibeAudio runs on a chat service it shares with other sites run by the same operator, so a block issued on one of them applies on all of them.
